Hiya! I've started looking around the offers, and I noticed that all of the current bid spreadsheets I tried to click on say I need to request access - I assume they're meant to be public? Anyway, thanks for running and organizing this auction!

There are currently 3 bids listed for my stuffed sharks. (Could be 3 different people, two people outbidding each other, I'm not sure and it's great either way.)

I offered 3 sharks, and now that I think of it that might be confusing. I was thinking to create one for each of the top 3 bidders, I guess, but do people only actually donate if they win what they bid on? I realized I'm not sure how this all works!

Anyway: happy to supply sharks, would like to raise as much money as possible for charity, am worried that my offer for multiple sharks has complicated this for you somehow. Am I imagining problems where none exist? Is there something I should do differently?

Hi!

First: do people only actually donate if they win what they bid on?
In my experience, people are only required to donate if they win, but sometimes people voluntarily donate even if they don't win. But it's different in this case because your offer is for 3 slots in one.

About your sharks: The offer for multiple sharks doesn't complicate anything, don't worry! Creating one each for the top three bidders is totally okay. I will make an internal note about this to make sure we don't forget that this listing is technically for 3 slots.

I added "the top 3 bidders will win 1 shark each" to your Notes section to make it a little clearer. The updated version of your offer is here. Does that look okay?

Thank you! Yes, an internal note that this is actually 3 offers in 1 sounds perfect, and that note looks good. As long as 3 people do donate, 3 sharks will appear. :D

Actually a similar note would work for my hats, too. Not that anyone has bid on them at all yet, so "top 10 bids" sounds a little ambitious 😅 but I'm willing to make a hat for anyone who donates €10 or more, basically. Could you add a note?

(If ten slots is a little bit ridiculous, we can totally change it! Whether lots of slots or more competition for a few slots would raise more money, I don't know. (Always assuming anyone wants hats at all. 😆) Hmm. Thoughts?)

OK, I've made a note about the hats as well. I've also added in the "scope" section: "willing to make a hat for every person who bids 10 EUR or more (up to a maximum of 10 people)". Does that wording work for you?
10 slots is totally okay as long as you're sure you're willing to make 10 if you get that many bids!

Problem with auction information

I sent an email but will also try here. For buckybarnesdeservestobehappy's auction, I am offering three different stories. Right now, they are listed as one auction instead of three different ones. Can you change it so that bidders can bid on a specific option? Thanks!

(I'm so sorry, I originally commented in the wrong post, so I've deleted that and posted here instead--happy Friday the 13th?)

The offer entry for my auction is here. There was a problem with my auction information. I edited my sign-up information for a final time early in the morning of the 10th, and added more fandoms/clarified something. I edited the entry via the available Google Forms link that is e-mailed to a person. At that time, all seemed to have gone through fine. The updated link was then e-mailed to me, so that could keep track of things.

It seems that my edit with particular additions to the fandom section is not reflected in the offer entry, even though the Google Form edit confirming the update was e-mailed to me. Would you be able to correct this? If so, thank you in advance.

This is what it should have said, under Fandoms, according to that final editing:

Are bids in USD valid? I've seen someone submit a bid like that and I'm confused, since I thought this was supposed to be in Euros.
